Deepening My Practice: Gottman Level 3 Training This Weekend

This weekend, I’ll be completing Gottman Level 3 Training—the highest level of clinical training offered by the Gottman Institute. I’m genuinely excited about this next step, because it builds on years of experience using the Gottman Method with couples who want to strengthen their connection, heal after conflict, and rebuild trust.Deepening My Practice: Gottman Level 3 Training This Weekend

Level 3 focuses on mastery

Level 3 focuses on mastery—bringing together everything learned in Levels 1 and 2 and applying it to complex, real-world relationship dynamics. The training involves watching and analyzing actual couple therapy sessions with Drs. John and Julie Gottman, receiving live case consultation, and deepening the ability to intervene effectively when couples are stuck in destructive patterns.

For my clients, this means even richer, more targeted support in session. I’ll be refining how I assess each couple’s “Sound Relationship House,” navigate gridlocked conflicts, and strengthen friendship, intimacy, and shared meaning. The Gottman Level 3 Training Gottman Method is one of the most evidence-based approaches to couples therapy, grounded in over 40 years of research. Completing Level 3 is not just a credential—it’s a commitment to offering the highest level of relationship care possible.

Whether couples are preparing for marriage, recovering from betrayal, or simply wanting to communicate better, this training equips me with tools that are both compassionate and practical. I look forward to bringing new insights and interventions back to my clients next week—and continuing to help couples create relationships that truly last.
